Mihajlovic in Kraljevo: Energy efficiency national project, goal of reducing consumption
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Mining and Energy, Prof. Zorana Mihajlović, PhD, stated today in Kraljevo, where the reception of citizens was organized, that raising energy efficiency is a national goal and that the state will continue to subsidize the replacement of carpentry and installation of solar panels in the coming years.
"Raising energy efficiency is a national goal and one of the most important projects in energy. The essence is to help households reduce the consumption of heat and electricity and at the same time get lower bills. So far, four local governments have issued a call for citizens, and we expect the others to do the same in the next 15 to 20 days. This is the first public call, which is very important because it will show whether we can further simplify the procedures for the next calls, and the first one will be in late November or early December. "Next year, we will provide more than 100 million euros just for the replacement of carpentry," she said.
Mihajlovic said that at the beginning of September, according to the same principle, a public call for subsidies for the installation of solar panels will be announced.
"It used to be very expensive and complicated, because people had problems installing solar panels and connecting to the network. The ministry passed a bylaw so that citizens could access solar panels in just one step. All you need to do is contact the supplier and sign a standard contract for the production of electricity with him. No more location permits, no building permits. "Our interest is to install solar panels between 700,000 and 800,000 households in the coming years, and we will repeat public calls in the next two years and subsidize the purchase with 50 percent of the total price," says Mihajlovic.
