Mihajlovic: The price of pellet is limited, the next step is to help "Srbijasume" and increase inspection control
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Mining and Energy, prof. Zorana Mihajlovic, Ph.D., said today that the price of pellet is limited to 320 euros per ton and that inspections will control market participants in the coming period to ensure compliance with the measures adopted by the Government.
Answering journalists' questions about the situation on the pellet market, Mihajlovic said that the price of pellets is limited to 320 euros per ton, based on the decree passed by the Government, and that activities are now coming to help "Srbijasume" to have enough raw wood.
"Additionally, the inspection will also control pellet mills and warehouses, because we cannot allow several hundred thousand households to switch to electricity for heating due to problems with other energy sources," said Mihajlovic during a tour of the works on the construction of the distribution gas pipeline Aleksandrovac - Novi Pazar - Tutin. She added that the state has done everything to ensure that there is enough electricity and gas this winter, and that they have been working on it for a year now. "Of course, unexpected situations can happen, if there are problems with imports, but we have prepared crisis plans for that. The crisis will continue in spite of everything that the state undertakes, it is important that we all take account of consumption together", stated Mihajlovic.
