The Department for Green Energy carries out the activities related to the: use of renewable energy sources (hereinafter: RES); preparation of development strategies, action plans, draft laws, other regulations and general acts that are used to formulate the Government's policy in the field of the use of RES and carry out harmonization with the European Union regulations; monitoring and determining of the status in the field of the use of RES and studying the consequences of the identified situation in order to take appropriate measures in the field of the use of RES in the power, heat and transport sector; resolving of administrative issues, keeping records, issuing official documents and undertaking administrative actions; promoting and directing the development of the field of the use of RES according to the Government's policy; preparation and monitoring of the implementation of the projects in the field of the use of RES which are financed by EU funds and grants provided by international institutions; participation in international cooperation in the field of RES; collecting and studying data in the field of the use of RES; compiling analyses, reports, information and other materials that are important for achieving results in the field of the use of RES; taking actions as part of the second instance proceedings to deal with the appeals against decisions of energy inspectors in the field of the use of RES; carrying out other professional tasks that contribute to the development of the field of the use of RES, as well as other activities within the scope of activity of the Department.
